Which rules can apply to flydubai flights
flydubai is not registered here as an EU or UK carrier.
- EU261 and UK261 generally apply to its flights only when they depart from an airport in the EU/EEA/Switzerland or the UK.
- Flights on this airline that arrive in the EU or UK from elsewhere are generally outside EU261/UK261, but other national or contractual rules may apply.
- Check which airline operated each leg: a code-share ticket can combine carriers with different coverage.
This is orientation from the carrier's registration, not advice on a specific flight. Use the calculator for a preliminary check.

Guides relevant to flydubai
Route guides through DXB
Route guides are not specific to flydubai: several airlines fly most of these routes, so confirm the operating carrier on your booking.
Alliance, group and hub facts last checked against Wikipedia: Flydubai. These are not delay statistics: FlightRefundCalc does not publish punctuality or compensation-outcome figures for flydubai.
flydubai: how to prepare your claim
A flydubai ticket can involve an Emirates-marketed connection, so begin with the line naming the operating airline. Record the FZ flight number, Dubai airport shown on the ticket and any linked Emirates sector. The airline that sold the ticket and the airline responsible for the disrupted operation may need different requests.
Use Flight delay/cancellation in the contact form
The official contact form includes a Flight delay/cancellation subject. Provide the booking reference and explain whether you request statutory compensation, reasonable disruption expenses or both. For a cancelled flight, Manage Booking separately offers rebooking or refund options after you retrieve the reservation. Agency customers should follow the agency instructions for those ticket changes; this is distinct from presenting the operating airline with a compensation claim.
Dubai departure and European departure are not equivalent
For flydubai-operated flights, an EU departure can trigger EU261 and a UK departure can trigger UK261. A standalone Dubai departure arriving in either region does not acquire that protection merely through the arrival airport. If a codeshare reply redirects you elsewhere, keep the ticket's operating-carrier wording and the entire connection on one booking available for review.
A published initial response allowance, not a payout promise
flydubai's carriage conditions ask passengers to claim directly and allow 30 days, or a shorter period required by applicable law, before engaging a third party. That is not a guaranteed payment date. If you receive a voucher offer, check whether it concerns the ticket refund or compensation; ask about the remedy legally owed before accepting settlement. Keep any refusal and the original submission timestamp.
