Optional anonymous response survey
The claim-response survey stores airline code, response-time category, outcome, submission day and a random report identifier only after consent. It requests no names, booking details, email addresses or documents. A temporary salted IP hash in server memory limits abuse; technical hosting logs may exist. Reports are unverified and not representative. Aggregates appear after at least 50 reports overall and 10 per displayed airline. An anonymous report cannot be tied back to its submitter.
What the public tools do
The main flight calculator sends selected airports, airline, date and disruption facts to the server for calculation. Direct-letter tools, regional checkers and PDF preparation process input in the browser. FlightRefundCalc does not ask you to upload passports, bank details, boarding passes or other identity documents through these public tools.
Technical and aggregate information
The site may process limited technical request data through its hosting and security services. We also use aggregate, non-identifying events to understand whether a calculator, letter action or disclosed referral is used. These events are not intended to store a passenger name, booking reference, claim narrative or document.
Third-party links
If you choose a clearly labelled third-party referral, you leave FlightRefundCalc. That provider has its own privacy notice, cookies, forms, service terms and data practices. Review them before submitting any personal data.

Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics loads on English public pages only after you accept analytics. It uses cookies to measure page visits and tool actions, for example that a calculator was started or submitted, which broad result category was shown (eligible, possibly eligible, needs review or not eligible), and that a letter was generated or downloaded or the partner link was clicked. These events carry no names, email addresses, flight numbers, dates, booking references or airports. URL query values and fragments are removed from our analytics events; letter fields are not sent. You can decline without losing access to the tools, or withdraw permission using the controls on this page. Your choice is stored on this browser for up to 180 days. German pages do not load Google Analytics. Separately, limited first-party aggregate action counts and technical server logs may be processed without passenger or booking details.
