Missed connection compensation checker

Check a preliminary EU passenger-rights connection path using one reservation, final-destination timing and the stated cause.

The short answer

If every flight was on one booking, the delay at your final ticketed destination can matter even when the first flight was less than three hours late. Separate tickets are a self-transfer: the through-booking connection protection does not automatically carry across them, although each flight can still have its own rights.

What caused the missed connection?

How a missed connection assessment differs from a late first flight

When connecting sectors are on one reservation, the important delay can be the arrival at the final ticketed destination. Keep every boarding pass and the complete itinerary: a short delay on the first sector may produce a much longer final-arrival delay after the connection is missed.

If the sectors were bought separately, do not assume the protected-connection analysis applies. Record what assistance or rerouting each airline offered, the operating carrier for every sector and the airline’s written disruption cause.
