Contact Qatar Airways directly after a disruption: feedback form, refund route, flight certificates and UK/EU departure checks for journeys through Doha.

About the editorShort answer
Use Qatar Airways Help → Feedback & Concerns for a disruption complaint. Use the separate Refund & Voucher option for a ticket-refund request. A UK or EU departure can change the rights analysis; a standalone Doha-to-London flight operated by Qatar Airways does not gain UK261 coverage just because it lands in London.

Which rules can apply to Qatar Airways flights
Qatar Airways is not registered here as an EU or UK carrier.
- EU261 and UK261 generally apply to its flights only when they depart from an airport in the EU/EEA/Switzerland or the UK.
- Flights on this airline that arrive in the EU or UK from elsewhere are generally outside EU261/UK261, but other national or contractual rules may apply.
- Check which airline operated each leg: a code-share ticket can combine carriers with different coverage.

Guides relevant to Qatar Airways
Route guides through DOH
Route guides are not specific to Qatar Airways: several airlines fly most of these routes, so confirm the operating carrier on your booking.
Alliance, group and hub facts last checked against Wikipedia: Qatar Airways, oneworld: member airlines. These are not delay statistics: FlightRefundCalc does not publish punctuality or compensation-outcome figures for Qatar Airways.
Qatar Airways: how to prepare your claim
A Qatar Airways claim often turns on what happened at the Doha Hamad (DOH) connection. Keep both QR sectors, the original through-ticket and the replacement arrival. A document for only the first flight may not explain the total delay when your booked destination was beyond Doha.
Feedback & Concerns, refunds and certificates are distinct
In Qatar Airways Help, use Feedback & Concerns for the complaint and state the compensation or expenses requested. Get flight certificate is a separate evidence tool requiring booking details; the airline provides separate certificates for individual sectors and directs non-Qatar-operated certificates to the operating carrier. Refund tracking has its own option, and agency-issued ticket refunds are referred to the travel agency. Save all relevant references.
Doha transfers and the standalone return flight
EU261 can cover a Qatar-operated EU departure and a protected onward connection on that journey; UK261 can cover the UK departure. A standalone Doha-to-EU or Doha-to-UK Qatar flight is not brought within those rules merely by its destination. If your itinerary started elsewhere and only connected through Doha, record that first departure accurately. Citizenship or a European travel agency does not substitute for geographical coverage.
Match the decision to every affected QR sector
If the rejection considers only the Doha departure, ask whether the original covered origin and final arrival were included. Where airspace restrictions are cited, request the flight-specific explanation and a separate answer on care expenses. Download available sector certificates before evidence becomes harder to retrieve. The certificate-request availability period is not a compensation-payment promise; no universal Qatar claim-resolution duration is verified here. Follow up using the complaint reference.

Prepare and send your request
- 1
Choose feedback or refund
For a disruption complaint, open Help → Feedback & Concerns → Concerns. For unused-ticket money, choose Refund & Voucher. Qatar directs agency-ticket refund requests to the travel agency.
- 2
Retrieve the journey
Have the booking reference and passenger surname ready, then select the relevant flight and feedback reason. Keep a factual timeline with scheduled and actual arrival, replacement travel and the request you want reviewed.
- 3
Prepare the message and attachments
The public form currently allows 2,000 characters and lists PDF, PNG or JPG attachments up to 3MB. Follow its current prompts, including signed authority when representing someone else. Save the confirmation and case reference.
- 4
Obtain a flight certificate
Help also offers delayed/cancelled flight certificates by flight number or route and date. Its current instructions allow requests within 12 months and a separate certificate per sector. If retrieval fails, use feedback. A certificate supports the facts but does not decide compensation.
Check the route before the amount
London → Doha on Qatar Airways
Departure from the UK starts the UK coverage check even though the carrier is Qatari.
Paris → Doha on Qatar Airways
Departure from the EU starts the EU coverage check; cause and disruption facts still matter.
Doha → London, standalone Qatar flight
A non-UK/non-EU operating carrier departing Doha does not obtain UK261 coverage from UK arrival alone.
London → Doha → Kathmandu, one booking
Keep the whole journey and final-arrival delay. Do not replace the booked journey with an isolated Doha-sector calculation.
Use the facts before you act
For a connection through Doha, keep the original journey and every replacement sector together. State whether the flights were one reservation or separately booked. Identify the operator of the disrupted sector and the final ticketed destination before relying on a compensation figure. The feedback form receives a request; it does not establish entitlement.
Worked example
Illustrative one-booking journey: London Heathrow → Doha → Kathmandu. A disruption means arrival in Kathmandu at 14:10 instead of 09:00. Record the five-hour-ten-minute difference at Kathmandu, both sector numbers, rebooking details and the airline's cause. Do not assess the case only by the delay into Doha. Contrast a separately booked Doha → London flight operated by Qatar Airways: UK arrival alone does not provide the same UK-departure coverage.
A practical evidence checklist
- Full itinerary showing the starting airport, Doha connection and final destination.
- Proof of one reservation, or the separate booking references if self-transferring.
- Operating airline and flight number for every affected or replacement sector.
- Scheduled and actual arrival at the final destination, with local dates and time zones.
- Cancellation message, replacement offer, acceptance and expense receipts where relevant.
- Flight certificate where available, plus the feedback confirmation and case reference.
Keep the legal questions separate
A disruption can create different questions about care while waiting, refund versus rerouting, a possible statutory compensation framework and expenses. An airline’s written explanation may affect one question without deciding all the others. Use official authority guidance and qualified advice for a decision with legal or financial consequences.
Check your own journey, not an example.
The calculator asks for the operating carrier, route, notice and disruption facts before showing a preliminary result. It does not guarantee compensation.

Common questions
Which Qatar Airways form should I use?+
Start at the official Help page linked above. Feedback & Concerns is the complaint route; Refund & Voucher is a separate ticket-refund route. Agency-ticket refunds should go to the agency.
What if the feedback text is too long?+
The public form currently shows a 2,000-character limit. Summarise the chronology and request clearly; use its permitted attachments for supporting evidence. Check the live limits before submitting.
Can I get proof that the Qatar Airways flight was delayed?+
The Help page includes a delayed/cancelled flight certificate option. Its instructions describe requests within 12 months and separate certificates for each sector; use feedback if it cannot be downloaded.
Does Doha to London automatically qualify for UK261?+
No. On a standalone Qatar Airways-operated Doha departure, landing in the UK alone is insufficient. A journey beginning in the UK on one reservation needs a different assessment of the complete itinerary.
