Which rules can apply to Jet2 flights
Jet2 is registered here as a UK carrier.
- UK261 can apply when this UK carrier departs the UK, arrives in the UK from abroad, or arrives in the EU from abroad.
- EU261 can apply to its flights that depart from an airport in an EU member state (plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland), whichever airline operates them.
- Whether a given flight is covered still depends on the operating carrier, the airports, the delay at final arrival and the stated cause.
This is orientation from the carrier's registration, not advice on a specific flight. Use the calculator for a preliminary check.

Jet2: how to prepare your claim
Jet2's disruption form separates the affected flight from the whole holiday booking. If both outbound and return were disrupted, Jet2 asks for a separate form for each flight. An overnight departure still uses the original flight date shown on the booking confirmation.
Prepare the LS flight and itemised receipts
Open Delays and Disruptions, choose the booking type and enter the disrupted LS flight. Attach the boarding pass and supporting documents. The form currently accepts JPG, PNG and PDF uploads with displayed size limits. Its expenses section asks for itemised receipts and explicitly says bank statements alone are not accepted as purchase evidence. Follow the live upload limits when submitting.
Flight rights and holiday costs are different requests
For a Manchester–Tenerife holiday, distinguish meals or a necessary overnight hotel while waiting from unused accommodation at the resort. Jet2 lists these categories differently; do not bundle every lost holiday cost into the statutory care total. Its UK operating status also matters on the return from a non-EU destination. EU departures can bring EU261 into consideration; package-holiday issues may need the holiday organiser's separate complaint channel.
Before accepting a rejection
If Jet2 relies on an air traffic incident, ask how that incident affected the specific LS flight and retain any information about the replacement offered. The form's general examples are not a decision on every flight that day. No claim-specific average response time is verified here. Keep the submission record and bank-transfer confirmation separately; an accepted form is not confirmation that compensation or every expense has been approved.
