Which rules can apply to Vueling flights
Vueling is registered here as an EU/EEA-regime carrier.
- EU261 can apply to departures from EU airports on any airline, and to arrivals into the EU from outside the EU when an EU carrier operates the flight.
- UK261 can apply to this EU carrier on departures from UK airports and on arrivals into the UK from abroad.
- Whether a given flight is covered still depends on the operating carrier, the airports, the delay at final arrival and the stated cause.
This is orientation from the carrier's registration, not advice on a specific flight. Use the calculator for a preliminary check.

Vueling: how to prepare your claim
Vueling's help centre distinguishes a request that needs a reply from general feedback. Its File a complaint chat may be used internally for comments. If you want compensation or a refund, use the corresponding claim assistant so the request enters a flow intended to resolve it.
Select the disruption-specific assistant
From Claims and refunds, choose the reason that matches your experience: delay, cancellation, denied boarding, schedule change or missed connection. The help hub also has a separate case-status assistant. Retain the case number and the text sent through the chat; a conversational interface is still a claim submission worth documenting. Use a ticket-refund option only for the refund you actually want.
Barcelona connection: preserve how the journey was sold
On an illustrative Paris–Barcelona–Málaga trip, establish whether Vueling sold the journey as one connection or you assembled separate tickets. Record the final booked destination and replacement travel. Vueling is a Spanish EU carrier, so a standalone non-EU-to-EU flight operated by Vueling differs from a partner-operated sector merely sold through the same group. A Barcelona stop does not by itself prove a protected connection.
Care, vouchers and a refusal need separate checks
Vueling's delay guidance discusses waiting assistance and refund options after a sufficiently long departure delay. Those options are not the same as a fixed compensation decision based on arrival and cause. If the assistant returns a weather explanation, request the event affecting your flight; if it offers credit, inspect the terms before accepting it as settlement. No verified average compensation-response time is supplied by the claims article, so retain and use the status reference.
