Which rules can apply to Pegasus Airlines flights
Pegasus Airlines is not registered here as an EU or UK carrier.
- EU261 and UK261 generally apply to its flights only when they depart from an airport in the EU/EEA/Switzerland or the UK.
- Flights on this airline that arrive in the EU or UK from elsewhere are generally outside EU261/UK261, but other national or contractual rules may apply.
- Check which airline operated each leg: a code-share ticket can combine carriers with different coverage.
This is orientation from the carrier's registration, not advice on a specific flight. Use the calculator for a preliminary check.

Pegasus Airlines: how to prepare your claim
For a Pegasus disruption, distinguish Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) from Istanbul Airport (IST). An airport mix-up, a self-arranged transfer across the city and an airline-protected connection are different situations. Keep the exact airport codes on the ticket and evidence of the boarding instructions you received.
Guest Relations and the booking channel
Start from Pegasus Passenger Rights or the Help Centre and create a Guest Relations request. State the PC flight, booking code and whether the issue was cancellation, delay or denied boarding. The Help Centre directs agency-ticket changes to the agency; a statutory disruption claim still needs the responsible airline's assessment. Attach the agency itinerary as proof rather than assuming the booking channel removes your rights.
SAW connections and geographical scope
Pegasus is a Turkish carrier. An EU departure to SAW can fall within EU261, and a UK departure within UK261. A standalone SAW-to-EU or SAW-to-UK flight on Pegasus does not gain either protection simply through its arrival airport. For a through-journey that starts in a covered country, show both sectors and the final arrival; separately bought tickets need separate analysis.
Check the reason, not just the flight status
If the refusal mentions late boarding, compare the gate closure with your arrival and the inbound flight record. If it describes operational disruption, request the specific cause rather than inferring that compensation is automatically due. Pegasus asks passengers to submit rights claims directly first. No general payment or resolution time has been verified for this guide; retain the submission date and follow up through the original request.
