At Velana, the international arrival at MLE may be followed by a domestic flight, a seaplane or a boat to your island. Identify which part was sold with the airline ticket and which was arranged by the resort. A late resort arrival is not automatically the international flight's arrival delay.
Confirm the onward transport type and meeting point
The airport operator identifies Noovilu as its seaplane terminal. A seaplane connection is therefore not simply another international departure gate. Ask the resort or transfer operator where to report after the international arrival and who handles bags. Retain the written transfer reservation, provider and booking conditions, particularly if the international flight is rescheduled into a different operating period.
Ask about the last available island transfer
After a delayed arrival, contact the onward provider before leaving the international terminal meeting area. Confirm what transfer remains available and whether an overnight stay is required; do not infer the answer from a generic seaplane timetable. If a domestic flight is substituted for a seaplane or boat, obtain the new airport and island-transfer instructions, including any additional transport still needed after landing.
Keep flight and island-transfer expenses distinct
Save the international flight notice, the missed onward reservation and any resort instruction approving new transport or a hotel. Record MLE arrival separately from boarding a boat or reaching the resort. The official flight display separates international and domestic flights, which can help identify the affected air segment. A resort invoice should show what was charged and why, rather than being presented as an unexplained total.
