LIS: connections and disruption help
At Lisbon, an onward Terminal 2 departure is a different task from remaining in Terminal 1 for a through connection. ANA's airport guide describes collecting bags when needed, leaving T1 and taking the free shuttle to T2.
Confirm the terminal of a substitute airline
Do not assume that a replacement on a low-cost carrier follows the same transfer route as your original booking. Look up the terminal for the actual flight and follow the airline's bag-drop deadline. The T1-to-T2 shuttle is part of the journey before boarding, so the available time must cover baggage handling and the new terminal's formalities as well as the ride.
Clarify the baggage and border steps
Ask whether your bag is checked to the final destination or must be retrieved in Lisbon. If you came from outside Schengen and need to enter the public area for the transfer, check the entry requirements before accepting an itinerary. A new boarding pass does not by itself guarantee that a passenger without the necessary documents can make a landside terminal change.
An island connection needs a confirmed recovery plan
For a missed Madeira or Azores sector, ask the airline to preserve the full ticketed destination and explain any overnight arrangements in Lisbon. Do not treat a mainland replacement as completion of an island booking. Retain the original T1/T2 assignment, bag tag, time the connection was lost and every alternative offered. Obtain the hotel's terminal return instructions so an early replacement does not start at the wrong building.

Departing from LIS
A journey departing Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport normally starts with the EU261 route test. The operating carrier, final ticketed destination, timing and airline-recorded cause still determine the next step.
Arriving at LIS
For a flight arriving at LIS from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, identify whether the operating airline is an EU/EEA/Swiss carrier. The marketing airline on the ticket may be different.
