DEL: connections and disruption help
Delhi's T1, T2 and T3 are not interchangeable departure points. The official transit guide identifies T3 as handling international services as well as domestic flights, while T1 and T2 serve domestic traffic. Verify the current terminal of the replacement flight rather than following the original ticket automatically.
Treat T1 movement differently from T2–T3
Delhi Airport publishes distinct inter-terminal directions, including shuttle options and movement between nearby T2 and T3. Ask the airline or transfer staff which route is available for your particular connection, rather than assuming every transfer requires leaving the secure area. Keep the terminal change notification and the transport instruction together; an airport-wide map cannot show your baggage or immigration requirements.
An international arrival needs a baggage decision
For an onward Indian domestic flight, confirm where entry formalities take place and whether checked bags must be collected before recheck. Show the entire booking and tag destination to the transfer desk. If a replacement domestic flight now leaves another terminal, get the updated check-in deadline as well as its departure time. Do not rely on a connection estimate made before the terminal change.
Tie any Delhi restriction to the affected operating period
If a refusal cites visibility, air-traffic restrictions or an airport interruption, ask for the dates, times and flight-specific explanation. Save any airline alert alongside official airport information available for that period. Record actual final arrival after the Delhi connection, not only the landing at DEL. Keep hotel and transport receipts linked to the rerouting instructions, especially when staff direct you to return to a different terminal.

Departing from DEL
Departure from Indira Gandhi International Airport alone does not create a fixed EU261 or UK261 band. An arrival into the EU/EEA/Switzerland or UK may require the operating carrier's status to be checked.
Arriving at DEL
If DEL is the final destination, keep the scheduled and actual door-open or arrival record. Coverage can come from the departure country or operating carrier rather than this airport's location.
