BOM: connections and disruption help
At Mumbai CSMIA, check BOM and the terminal on each boarding pass. A domestic connection does not mean you can infer the correct terminal from the city or airline name alone. Rebooking may change the building and the required baggage procedure at the same time.
T1–T2 movement requires the correct shuttle point
The airport publishes a complimentary inter-terminal shuttle and gives pick-up locations in its arrival guide. Confirm eligibility and the current collection point with staff after a disruption, especially if you are carrying checked baggage from an international arrival. Do not add a fixed road-transfer time to a tight connection without allowing for the required immigration, customs, waiting and departure formalities.
Ask before exiting on a same-terminal connection
The official transit guide distinguishes types of connection. Show the arriving and onward boarding passes so staff can direct you to the route applicable to your ticket. Ask whether baggage is through-tagged or must be collected and checked again. If the airline switches your departure terminal, preserve the message rather than relying on an older boarding pass or a travel-agent itinerary issued before the change.
Make a Mumbai transfer failure reconstructable
Record the arrival terminal, time you reached the transfer or baggage desk, shuttle instructions and the onward boarding deadline. Keep separate tickets identifiable if you assembled the connection yourself. After a missed departure, obtain the replacement confirmation and ask where overnight assistance will be provided. A transport receipt should identify its journey, so a necessary terminal transfer can be distinguished from unrelated travel around Mumbai.

Departing from BOM
Departure from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport alone does not create a fixed EU261 or UK261 band. An arrival into the EU/EEA/Switzerland or UK may require the operating carrier's status to be checked.
Arriving at BOM
If BOM is the final destination, keep the scheduled and actual door-open or arrival record. Coverage can come from the departure country or operating carrier rather than this airport's location.
